Signal Real-Time Update
Day 3: “Lion’s Roar” Conflict | March 2, 2026
Ground Rescue Operations and Transportation Services
As part of our efforts to expand return and departure options, we have established a ground rescue network operated by local providers specializing in border crossings and transportation:
- Sharm El-Sheikh Airport: Transportation services from Sharm airport directly to central Israel (including assistance at the Taba border crossing) or to the Taba terminal only (estimated travel time: approximately 2.5 hours).
- Taba Airport: Transportation services from Taba airport to the Taba border terminal (estimated travel time: approximately 1.5 hours).
- Additional Border Crossings: Logistical and transportation solutions to/from Israel at the following points: Sharm, Taba, Sheikh Hussein (Jordan River), Aqaba, and Amman. This service includes handling the necessary paperwork for the border crossing.
Primary Rescue Corridors – Crossing Status
Taba Border Crossing – Open and Active: The Taba crossing currently serves as the primary land gateway connected to rescue flight operations.
- Arkia (via Electra Airways): Operating rescue flights landing at Taba International Airport.
- Important Instruction: Due to heavy congestion, it is recommended to arrive at the terminal at least 5 hours prior to your scheduled departure time.
- Transportation: Egged buses are stationed at the border for those arriving from Taba, providing transport to the following destinations: Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv, Be’er Sheva, and Eilat.
Sharm El-Sheikh (Strategic Update): A significant breakthrough has been achieved with the approval for Israeli airlines to perform rescue landings at Sharm El-Sheikh Airport. This solution is expected to significantly expand return and departure options beyond the existing Taba corridor.
Accommodation Management and Global Lodging Solutions
As part of our logistical support framework to assist those staying abroad due to flight changes, we have established a dedicated system for managing accommodation arrangements and extended stays:
- Global Accommodation Management: Identifying and coordinating lodging solutions worldwide, tailored to the client’s specific needs and required budget.
- Active Booking Monitoring: Our team of agents continuously monitors existing bookings, updates on changes in flight status, and provides immediate alternative lodging solutions to prevent uncertainty.
- Direct Corporate Billing: Booking through Signal allows for payments to be settled via the company’s regular billing terms, eliminating the need for private credit cards or immediate out-of-pocket expenses while abroad.
- Cancellation and Change Fee Management: Direct communication with international hotels and suppliers to minimize or waive cancellation fees for bookings that were not utilized due to the security situation.
To coordinate accommodation solutions or extended stays, please contact your personal Signal agent or our 24/7 emergency hotline.
